Washington + Seattle Sales mission

The Washington and Seattle sales mission was designed to keep both destinations top of mind among Dutch and Belgian travel professionals. In a competitive market, regular engagement is essential. Therefore, this sales mission focused on sharing new stories, building relationships, and stimulating product interest.

The challenge

Washington State and Seattle are well known in the Dutch and Belgian markets. However, many destinations compete for attention. As a result, it is important to maintain strong ties with media and trade. We wanted to inspire new interest and keep Washington and Seattle relevant for travel sellers.

The solution

Together with State of Washington Tourism and Visit Seattle, we organized a two-day sales mission across Belgium and the Netherlands. We hosted a lunch event at BrewDog in Brussels, featuring beer brewed with hops from Yakima Valley, Washington. In addition, we invited guests to a relaxed afternoon at Brouwerij ’t IJ in Amsterdam, a venue reflecting Seattle’s craft and local spirit. Both events offered destination updates, Q&As, and networking opportunities with our visiting clients. This approach created an informal yet informative setting for meaningful conversations.

Message delivered successfully

The Washington and Seattle sales mission reached 40 key trade and media contacts in two markets. As a result, we received positive feedback on both content and event format. There were requests for FAM trips and media collaborations. In addition, the mission strengthened top-of-mind presence for both Washington and Seattle. This means we successfully showcased the Pacific Northwest in an authentic and memorable way.
