BuroSix organized a Garda Trentino media event to reconnect the region with Dutch media and influencers. The main focus was to put Garda Trentino back on the map as an inspiring, outdoor-focused destination. As a result, the event created new connections, strong stories, and a clear identity for the region in the Dutch market.

The challenge

Garda Trentino is surrounded by well-known Italian regions that already enjoy strong visibility in the Dutch market. The regional tourism board had not been active in the Netherlands for some time. Therefore, the main challenge was to put the region back on the media map with a clear identity, inspiring stories, and strong connections.

The solution

To address this, BuroSix organized a tailor-made Garda Trentino media event at Fort de Batterijen. The location was chosen for its outdoor charm and natural feel, reflecting the Garda Trentino region. On a sunny May afternoon, 26 handpicked journalists, editors, and content creators were welcomed for an inspiring and informal program. The event featured a regional presentation with video and storytelling, the Garda Trentino Olympics (including a cycling challenge, olive oil tasting, and quiz), a sustainable art experience using dyes made from edible products, and a showstopping dinner by two chefs from Garda Trentino using regional ingredients and wines. This approach ensured the region’s unique character was experienced firsthand by the media.

Message delivered successfully

The Garda Trentino media event was a great success. In total, 26 carefully selected media attendees, including editors-in-chief and award-winning bloggers, attended. Coverage appeared across print, online, and social channels. For example, a follow-up press trip took place as a direct result of the event. In addition, multiple media outlets expressed interest in future collaborations. As a result, Garda Trentino made a strong impression as a fresh, outdoor-focused destination for Dutch travelers.
